So went to the premier screening of Iron Man last night. And… wow! One of the best comic book superhero movies ever. Up there with X-Men 2 and Batman Begins.
Definitely worth the trip to the cinema.
Plus I think it works on a level that makes it accessible to non-comic book nerds as well. Just shows you what a great director, stellar cast (who, may I add, improvised much of the lines) and spending some time to actually write a decent story (rather than just throwing money at the SFX department), can do for a movie. I hope that now Marvel Studios are reclaiming control over, and producing films with, their own creations we get to see more of this high calibre superhero movies.
So bring on the summer 2008 blockbuster season!
Hey kids,
Sorry there’s not been much going on here lately, uber busy in the real world at the moment. I did manage to get the MSH for April finished though…

Didn’t even get to the Fire Festival last night, so going to have to wait another year. Suppose I could always perform in it, that way I’ll definitely be going next time!
So yeah Battlestar, Doctor Who, blah blah blah
Via Gateworld
Sweet! Always wondered what it would be like if they weren’t confined to a TV budget.
Which reminds me, I don’t think I ever published that post I wrote about the last movie The Ark of Truth…
Makes you want to break into song!
Awesome!
Something, when you think about it, to make you feel better on Hump Day (even though it is an advert for a TV channel).

Choice quote:

Unless you’re gay, “pro-choice”, non-white (American) or just open to the voice of reason in general…

Why do I have the Imperial Death March playing in my head and the sudden desire to watch Return of the Jedi…?
Where has everyone gone? Is this a sign of the end of the blogging craze? Has it run it’s course, or is it just that time of year when apathy sets in in general? Arguably the same thing is going on here, but that’s ’cause I’ve got my hand tied behind my back with regards to what I can actually write about in my real life…
It’s almost as if there’s been some kinda timey-wimey incident that’s swallowed up half of the blogsphere. Are they lost forever? Perhaps not, as I’ve just discovered some old blogs have recently reappeared, so they’re now filling the gaps in my blogroll. (Go check them out!)
Maybe I should create a “On Hiatus” category for those of you that have decided to take a break from the blogsphere. A gone but not forgotten list, in case you ever decided to give it ago again?
OMG OMG OMG!
Don’t be clicking if you haven’t seen “He That Believeth In Me” yet…

Ding Dong, the boyfriend’s gone!
No no, we haven’t split up. He’s just moved back into his own flat after the building repairs have finally finished. (That was five weeks they were without water!)
So I’ve got my own space once more. w00p w00p! Means I’ve got some me time to write uber geeky blog posts and what not again.
The down side of course is he took his XBox back with him (much to my protest). That and I no longer have on-demand snuggles. But it was getting a bit claustrophobic having four three and a half gay men living under the one roof (only supposed to be the Doc and myself. Need to reset the booty call schedule lol), so good to have some space to breathe again.
And then in saying that he’ll probably be back over tonight again anyway…
Final series of Battlestar Galactica just began. Well State-side anyway. The rest of us have to wait a while to see it. (Unless anyone knows of certain other means to see it? Ahem…)
So to whet your appetite, here’s a quick re-cap of the story so far:

Spoilers after the cut
If you want it, I’ll give you what you want;
Wisely spent or are you regretting you just wasted four minutes of your life watching/listening to that?
I’m not sure, may have to listen to it again.
EDIT: Yeah it was only a matter of time before it got pulled from UChoob. (It was Madonna and Justin Timberlake’s 4 Minutes btw.)
Telling tales by the campfire.
Ooh only 2 days to go!
Just upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress. So trying out all the shiny new buttons and having a good old rummage around in the back here.
Oh and just a quick question to those that still insist on using Internet Explorer as their browser; does the site look OK to you? Or are there any broken bits that need patched up?
Hey kids, sorry for the lack of attention recently, (managed to publish a whole two posts last month!), been a busy boy in the real world and haven’t had much spare time to write any posts. That and the boyfriend has kinda sorta moved in (temporarily until the burst water main into his flat is fixed, which is coming onto three weeks now. I think he’s just addicted to my cooking!)
But I did manage to finish my Monthly Scavenger Hunt on Flickr, so go have a nosey in the mean time.
